Will a store-bought drain cleaner hurt anything?

Yes. It sits on top of the clog eating at the pipe instead of clearing it, it damages our tools, and it is a hazard for whoever opens the line next, including us. If you have poured any in, tell us so we handle the water safely.

Why does the same drain keep clogging?

Because cabling opens a hole through the blockage but leaves the cause in place. Roots, a bellied section or heavy scale will fill back in. That is why we camera a repeat clog and talk about jetting or lining the pipe.

What is the difference between cabling and jetting?

A cable is steel and cuts a path through. A jet is high-pressure water that scours the full diameter of the pipe wall, so grease and scale come out instead of moving downstream. Jetting is the one that buys you years.

Can you fix a root-damaged line without digging up my yard?

Often yes. Trenchless pipe lining installs a new pipe inside the old one through existing access points, and the seamless liner is what keeps roots out. We will tell you when digging is genuinely the better answer.
