What is the difference between filtration and a softener?

A filter removes what you can taste, smell or see, like chlorine, sediment and iron. A softener deals with the minerals that cause scale and spots. They are different jobs, and plenty of Acadiana homes want both.

Will a whole-home system slow my water down?
